rotki v1.36.0 is a big feature release containing all the work that the team and several external contributors did in the last month! The biggest features coming in this release are support for Coinbase Prime exchange, Umami Finance and a total redesign of the settings view of the app.

Things to Note

History Events Redecoding

As always when you are upgrading from an older release, all your EVM history events will need to be redecoded. This is something that takes a bit of time (depending on the amount of events) but is required in order to apply all changes since last release.

The redecoding will be triggered the first time you go to the history events page after you open the new version. You can monitor progress by pressing the 3 dots menu (1) on the top right and then checking how many events remain in the popup window (2) as seen in the screenshot above.Have patience until redecoding finished.

Finally, keep in mind that any edited events won’t be touched, so you don’t lose any data.

Gnosis pay token change

The authorization cookie for gnosis pay has an expiration date. rotki will now warn you with a notification when it is no longer valid and the user should delete it or update it in the settings by replacing it with the new one. https://docs.rotki.com/usage-guides/importing-data.html#gnosis-pay

App freeze

In this new version, there is a known issue that we are investigating. There is a rare chance that you will experience being stuck during login or on any other page. Essentially the app will appear frozen. If this happens to you, please restart the app and everything should be fine again.

Coinbase Prime

Coinbase Prime is now supported. Balances in the exchange will be shown.

Various EVM bridge transactions detection has been added.

Polygon Bridge

Polygon bridge events between Ethereum and Polygon PoS will now be properly decoded.

Superchain Bridge

Bridge transactions between Ethereum and Superchain networks (Base and OP Mainnet) will also now be properly decoded.

Umami finance

Umami finance protocol is now fully supported in Arbitrum. All balances deposited in Umami should be automatically detected. 2024-11-06_17-40

More automatic calendar reminders

New calendar reminders will now be added in rotki after processing your historical events.

For L2 bridge withdrawals

image rotki will now create calendar reminders for claiming bridge withdrawals from Layer 2 networks (Base, Optimism, Arbitrum) after the 7-day waiting period.

For airdrop claim deadline

Bug Fixes

  • The exported file that overrides the file with the same name should have the latest modified time.
  • Extrafi lending balances when having used multiple pools of the same asset at the same time will now be properly queried.
  • Liquity v1 borrowing should now properly include the fee as part of the borrowing event and present proper order of borrowing coming before the fee payment.
  • #8807 Binance CSVs with the new trade entry format should import correctly.
  • Pending AAVE to claim from staking should now appear as balance in the address that is staking.
  • Locked SAFE token balances for SAFE{Pass} should be properly detected during balance query again.
  • #8777 ZKSync lite transactions should no longer be skipped under special circumstances.
