2026-10-02Database migration update: Movary now uses Doctrine Migrations for database schema changes. Existing MySQL and SQLite installations are upgraded through a compatibility bridge: remaining legacy Phinx migrations are applied, the resulting schema is validated, and the Doctrine baseline is then recorded. New installations start directly with Doctrine.
The complete legacy Phinx migration history will remain available throughout the 0.x releases so older installations can catch up through the normal upgrade process. Phinx support is planned to be removed in 1.0.0. Before upgrading to 1.0.0 in the future, installations must first complete an upgrade to the final 0.x release.
You can find more information in the database migration documentation.
