HabitTrove is a gamified, self-hosted habit tracking application that rewards you with coins for completing habits, which you can redeem against a custom wishlist of rewards. It tracks completion streaks and statistics with a calendar heatmap, supports freehand drawings on habits and wishlist items, multiple languages, dark mode, and works as an installable Progressive Web App with automatic daily backups.

HabitTrove Docker Compose example

Self-host HabitTrove on your own server, homelab, or VPS starting from this Docker Compose example. It runs HabitTrove in Docker containers using the official dohsimpson/habittrove:latest image, with persistent volumes and automatic restarts preconfigured. Review the environment variables and adjust them to your setup, save the file as compose.yml (or docker-compose.yml), and start the stack with docker compose up -d.
