⚠️ This is a new major release. This updated includes big database schema updates that are not backwards compatible. I tried to cover all possible issues related to data migration but I recommend that you backup your current database before updating.

Here’s a quick summary of the more interesting changes:

• Added SSO support
• Added nested ingredient hierarchy and removed ingredient categories. You can now assign parent child relationships for ingredients and use all descendants of a given ingredient as a possible substitute. This gives option for users to manage more complex ingredient taxonomies, like “Spirits > Rum - Blended > Rum - Blended Lightly Aged”
• Various query optimizations, the app should now be faster and more efficient on large datasets

Breaking changes

• Removed ingredient categories
  • Existing ingredient categories will be migrated to nested ingredient hierarchy, with ingredient category as the root node
  • Removed category_id from ingredient filters
• Removed “Track parent ingredients as a substitutes” option
  • This is now default behavior
• Updated Menu schema
  • Added MenuItem schema to support multiple menu item types
• Removed bar_id query param support
  • Use Bar-Assistant-Bar-Id request header instead
