Newer Mac’s may show the message: “Actual is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash”.
The message appears because the app isn’t notarized - #3259.
If you see the message, please disable Gatekeeper by running the following command and start the app again:
xattr -c /applications/actual.app
